ABOUT ALBERTO ALMEIDA

Dr. Almeida is the director of the Spiritist Medical Association of the Brazilian State of Pará and also heads the non-profit Jardim das Oliveiras ("Olive Garden"), which provides assistance to families below the poverty line, vulnerable youth, and the elderly in the city of Belém.

A Spiritist from birth, Alberto got involved with the Spiritist Movement at a very early age by joining the youth program of the Spiritist Center Yvon Costa. Alberto delivered his first talk at a Spiritist group at the age of 17 and has continued to speak about Spiritism through countless talks, seminars, and workshops in Brazil and abroad.

Professionally, Dr. Almeida is a general practitioner and homeopath. He is also a family and transpersonal therapist trained in regression therapy, transpersonal psychology, group dynamics, and systemic family therapy.
